The Mendel's Mille-Feuille, Vanilla cream from Madagascar, a classic of french pastry, here is the story. 

It have been created by François Pierre de La Varenne, who describes it in his "book" Cuisinier françois in 1651.

It would then have been perfected by Marie-Antoine Carême, personal chef of Charles-Maurice de Talleyrand-Périgord.
However, many professional pastry chefs in Paris only date it back to 1867, when it was offered as a specialty by the famous pastry chef Adolphe Seugnot, then installed at 28 rue du Bac in Paris.

At Mendel's we like to keep the classics as it is. With skills and experience, we have worked on recipes that makes it way more healthier, lighter and focused on taste and flavors.
